Many of our VIP Graduates had been receiving various awards from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Below is a snapshot of a few of them. 

  •  Ray Jardine - GROW Graduate October 2011
    The 8(a) Graduate of the Year for Hawaii is Raymond Jardine, Jr. of Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC. 
    The company was started in 2004 by Jardine, a Native Hawaiian and service-disabled veteran, to provide specialized expertise in professional services, support, and operational services. The company has grown revenues year over year during its nine-year tenure as an 8(a) company, graduating in 2017. The workforce expanded to over 180 skilled, experienced 180 individuals who have satisfied government and civilian customers around the world. Through Jardine’s leadership, Native Hawaiian Veterans is well positioned to successfully compete in the federal contracting arena and to train and employ tomorrow’s economic and business leaders.  Learn more...

  • Paris Morris - VIP START Oct 2016
    Parish Morris, Co-Founder of Veteran’s Business Action Committee Selected as 2018 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year.  The U.S. Small Business Administration, Orange County / Inland Empire District Office has selected Parish Morris, co-founder of Veteran’s Business Action Committee (VBAC) to be recognized as the 2018 Veteran Small Business Champion of the Year. Morris was nominated for the award by Scott Agajanian, Business Development Manager for the City of Murrieta.  Learn more...

Barbara Ashe, President of the Montgomery County Chamber Community Foundation (MCCCF) and the National and Director of the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP),  was presented the award as the  NaVOBA 2017 Veterans Business Advocate of the Year. Deputy Administrator Leslie is in Houston, Texas, today speaking with veteran business owners and engaging local media at an outstanding event hosted by the Houston District Office and Houston Community College.  She will share the breadth and depth of SBA programs for veterans, members of the Reserve and Guard, military spouses and U.S. service members transitioning from active duty to civilian life and also amplify SBA’s role in disaster relief.
